One of the best things to happen for music collectors and sellers in Pasadena for a long time. This place came highly recommended by a friend who sold back a few of her records there. Walked into the store, and immediately, the vibe felt right.
Sibylline is a great shop with a great selection across a number of genres. There’s something for everyone here. They’re also extremely honest and easy to deal with. Records are graded conservatively with buyer satisfaction in mind, and they’re very forthright about any imperfections in the jacket or disc.
I have been buying records from Sibylline Records for a couple of years. They have an excellent selection from Jazz to Punk at reasonable prices, including some rare finds. The record grading is usually conservative, therefore you get a Mint record for the price of a Very Good record.
My dad was a professional musician through my childhood and he had a massive influence on my appreciation for music, and for discovering new music through record shop digging. He also had an amazing record collection, accumulated from years of record shop digging and being around many top tier musicians.
