Visiting from out of town and someone online suggested this place if I like hip hop. So glad I listened to them. It’s a smaller shop but they have quality!! I’ll leave it at this. if I lived near here, Id be broke and they’d have no inventory. Thanks for making a Minnesotan feel welcome in Boston!

Fun store surrounded by bars with lots of newer Indie and Hip Hop Selection *Used/New/Reissue - 4/5 Lots of new and reissue. Used selection is there, but not the main event. *Variety - 3.5/5 Focus seems to be on a lot of bands/artists I don't know, meaning probably geared to a younger crowd.

Best vinyl in Boston area, with a great selection of new records. It’s a beautiful and clean store with a really kind and knowledgeable owner. I have been to every other store in the Boston area and no one matches the vibe at Index. The records are a surprisingly good price, right around MSRP.

After going to three other record stores around Boston today, I can safely say vinyl index was the cleanest and most comprehensive selection of records, not just new releases, but amazing older vinyl, some less known and some sought after. Aaron at the counter was super helpful and full of music knowledge.
