Variety Records

Variety Records was one of the greatest highlights of my trip to Portland. My partner and I collect physical media, and always try to find the biggest shops to dig through. Variety is filled to the ceiling with a wild amount of DVDs, Blu-Rays, VHS, Records, and more.

One of the more wholistic of Portlands media holes. Come here ready to spend hours sifting through the rhizome of human aural and visual ingenuity in every format that entails… It is never the same selection twice!

Some really great people run this place. I really appreciate how they make everyone feel welcome and like family. They make real connections with their customers. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful with music. I love this place. I especially love that they do $1 records on Saturdays as well.

I was looking for a specific record for my spouse's birthday, and the friendliest person assisted me over the phone to let me know that they had it in stock! When I went into the shop, the vibes were immaculate and the person behind the counter was so kind and helpful. I'll be back soon to browse in person!
