Best cassette tape section in town! They even had a car cassette case to buy, kinda hard to track down. Super friendly, pulled out the good cassettes for me from the back, highly recommend if you’re livin the dream of the 90’s here in Portland!

Variety Records was one of the greatest highlights of my trip to Portland. My partner and I collect physical media, and always try to find the biggest shops to dig through. Variety is filled to the ceiling with a wild amount of DVDs, Blu-Rays, VHS, Records, and more.

One of the more wholistic of Portlands media holes. Come here ready to spend hours sifting through the rhizome of human aural and visual ingenuity in every format that entails… It is never the same selection twice!

Some really great people run this place. I really appreciate how they make everyone feel welcome and like family. They make real connections with their customers. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful with music. I love this place. I especially love that they do $1 records on Saturdays as well.
