A breath of fresh air as far as Madison area record stores go. There's a focus on punk and metal records, but they have a well-curated selection of all genres including jazz, blues and classic rock. He sells CDs, cassettes, DVD/blu-rays, shirts and other knickknacks too.
Great record store. Check it out and support independent stores! They have a selection of nearly every genre. Specializes in metal, hard rock and punk. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely will be coming back.
Hands down the best record shop!!!! Owner was the friendliest dude, the girl behind the clubs was incredibly personable and awesome. I LOVE THIS SHOP!!!! The music selection was fantastic, little bit of everything, with a really nice focus on metal. Not enough punk, but that's just how it goes.
Filling the void left by the closing of Ear Wax records, this is a record store specifically geared towards metal and punk fans. Great selection, reasonable prices and a knowledgeable staff, make The Door worth checking out.
