What's in the crates
“It’s definitely a great shop; however, if you’re looking for more obscure or rare punk/hardcore, Joint Custody is where you want to go.”
“Love the environment, great selections of Punk, Heavy Metal and local artists.”
What customers say
Let me just start by saying if punk rock and skate boarding aren't your vibe ... that's sad. Smash records is an incredible mix of both. Super cool store catering to all your auditory needs. You'll find phenomenal selection of hair metal, blues, funk ... oh, and punk.
Best record store in America. I stand by that. Absolutely my favorite I've ever been too.
Solid store with a wide selection of records and CDs. Also has skateboard supplies (including classic decks) and apparel. The records are priced very well and the owner is transparent about pretty much everything.
One of my favorite stores on the east coast. A few years back I picked up some rare Pg. 99 records. Last time I was there I saw multiple Townes Van Zandt records. They also sell skateboarding stuff there, too. Downside to the last time I was there is that it reeked of weed, but that wasn’t the end of the world.
