Love that Purple Dog still survived after thier store was demolished for parking lot. Sad if you ask me personally because Gems like this are a dying breed to a kid who grew up going to record stores. Been her twice this week. And Greatest guy behind the counter. And if your lucky you can hear band rehearsals upstairs!
CAN’T. BE. BEAT! Hands down the best record store in the Chicagoland area. The collection and variety of used records is constantly refreshed and the prices are almost too good to be true. I always find a gem of an album from the ‘60s!
Purple Dog Records in Naperville is an awesome spot for music lovers. The shop has a great vibe—friendly and knowledgeable employees who clearly care about what they do. The selection is solid, and the prices are more than fair.
Excellent little neighborhood record shop, right by the Metra stop! Their turnover is decent and they have lots of punk, metal, new wave, and other not so common genres. The crates are always worth digging, and the owner is very friendly. If you're in the are in the area, it is absolutely worth the stop
