Controlled Chaos in Bolingbrook is a gem for music lovers. Josh, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, making customer service his top priority—something that's rare to find these days. His collection is ever-changing, and he provides excellent advice on discovering new music.
Most great record stores are located in some obscure, dirty strip mall surrounded by failure, but this gem is right in the middle of The Promenade Mall in Bolingbrook, so I can finally record shop at my leisure while my wife goes to Victoria’s Secret across the street.
Had a great experience at controlled chaos. Loved talking music with the owner Josh. They love all kinds of music and are excited when you find something you like. Make sure to check out the hidden gems board. I have bought 2 off it and have been presently surprised with how good they are for under $10.
