North Street Records

You can't find a better place than North Street to source your favorite vinyl. The golden era of the indie record store is long gone which makes this shop a rare gem. Jim and Jeff are music nerds in the very best sense of the word and know their stuff, hardcore!

I was visiting family in Normal, IL and I stopped by North Street Records to take a look. I am very happy I did. Not only there is a huge selection of very interesting used records, but the more limited new inventory was very tempting as well.

I love this place. I especially love the used selection, and they carry cd, tapes, and vinyl. It's a real record store ran by a real music fan. I like a lot of music, but all kinds of extreme metal is my favorite. And the first time I went there, he had one little box of metal, not much at all.

I’ve been going here for years ever since I went to ISU. Now I have family that goes to ISU and the establishment is still as fantastic. It was my first record store I ever went to and now I have dozens in my own collection, many from this location.
