Very impressive assortment of music often (most of the time) overlooked by the mainstream music retail industry. Records are neatly organized for intuitive and effective search. Multiple record formats, multiple playback media formats, including player cassettes.
Stopped in here a few weeks ago. Store is small but packed with a fantastic selection of heavy music at reasonable prices. Also ordered from the website, items came packed like a tank and arrived very quickly. This is a great shop if you want to buy metal.
So glad I stopped by! I went to 9 record stores over a weekend visiting Chicago and liked meteor gem the most. Lots of niche skramz finds, super nice guy, can’t find my receipt but he might have even thrown in a record I wanted but couldn’t afford? Either way I’d recommend it to anyone into hardcore or metal
I have been shopping at Meteor Gem for almost three years and I discovered so many albums that I did not know I had to own. The owner has the deepest and heaviest records in the entire Midwest, perhaps in the United States.
