Hyde Park Records

As always I’m popping into local record stores. Had a chance to finally visit Hyde Records in one of my fav Chi town neighborhoods. Had a great time connecting to staff talking about music & local artist. Love the ambiance of the shop! Picked up records and some vintage Jet & Ebony magazines.

Super dope record store. Tons of Michael Jordan memorabilia. Fun pins and other collectibles. Oh and SOOOOOO MANNNNYYYY RECORDS! Great vibes. I’ll be back.

If you are looking for soul / R&b / funk / hip hop etc, you would be shooting yourself in the foot for not coming here. Seriously. There is always something rare here for collectors that you can't find in most stores. I've hit up the Triangle and it was alright, but this place is cheaper with a better selection imo.

This place is like a piece of nostalgic heaven! Thousands of vinyl albums, old school magazines, artwork, buttons, etc. I actually sit on one of the crates or on the floor and just go through the albums. I'm there for at least two hours minimum! I love this place!
