Chris is awesome! Record sellers - this is your guy! I walked in and told the clerk about the collection of records I was trying to sell. He let me know that Chris would buy from me at 50-60% of the record's value, and then he took down my information. The next day, Chris called me and we set up an appointment.

San Francisco's premier record store for hardcore jazz, soul funk and more, Groove Merchant is a cornerstone of Lower Haight street culture. Store owner, Cool Chris, is a world class purveyor of rare vinyl. His store is NOT a front for online sales, it is a completely REAL TIME old school record store.

Saw this place on a list of best record shops in the world, so I figured I'd have to stop in. A lot of rare finds in here. Probably even more if you're willing to dig. Found a few to add to my collection. The shop owner was cool; gave me a lil discount.

dude was so nice. he helped me look for jazz records for beginners and recommended miles davis and john coltrane :)
