Flipside Records

Just watched a beautiful documentary about this establishment. You can just see the love of music in Dan’s eyes. In one scene he outs a record on and knows the very second that the music will begin because he is that intimate with his collection.

Decent place. It was pretty cluttered so sometimes you were close to the other shoppers, and a little hard to search cause there are a BUNCH of records. This place has a huge amount of 45s which is probably the only reason I would go back. It is sorted pretty well and the owner knows pretty much where everything is.

Great selection and decent prices, owner seems like a solid guy, but it's just impossible to get around the store because it's so cluttered. You want to hang there longer and really dig into a pretty amazing inventory, but you're always doing some contortions to go through all the stacks or to make room for other…

Great old-school record shop that's been holding its own on the main drag of Pompton Lakes since before I was born. Packed full of records, cds, tapes and misc memorabilia, lots of unsorted crates on the floor.
