Diana kindly, welcomingly guided me through my first purchase of a sound system - amp, speakers, turntable - showing me how to use it, explaining the different parts and care instructions etc. This record store did not feel gatekept at all. The selection here was also great!
Delighted to discover this shop, with a wealth of unusual music. The fellow behind the counter was playing some exceptionally unwelcoming industrial experimental music when we arrived so was super happy to hear that actually! Plenty of choices from avant garden to reggae, film soundtracks to used vinyl.
what makes this record store special are the 8 track cassettes, working 8 track cassette players and other other equipment, and the extremely friendly staff! i never have more than a couple bucks to spend on each record but this christmas was an exception and i splurged a little bit.
I love how there is no pressure to just browse—seriously I bought nothing but browsed for a good 40 minutes. Staff is so kind and actually the recommendations here are so so so fascinating (definitely not the usual stuff)!
