Great stock, wide range. Best secondhand classical & jazz section I've seen in NY. I could have stayed all day - very friendly welcome. Will be my first port of call when I next visit. Will make a point of recommending this place to all music fans heading to NYC.
Excellent collection of classical music, opera and jazz. A few rare book finds. Chill environment with knowledgeable staff. To the staff: it’s dusty.
TLDR: Wonderful. This small space, already packed with interesting and quality finds, felt even fuller with shared connection and engagement. This place brims with history - the fact that the man that works there was too, made it twice as good.
Westsider Records is a hidden gem that you could spend hours in. If we weren’t on a time crunch during our visit, I would definitely be there for that long! The man who runs it is kind and helpful and you can talk to him about all kinds of genres.
