Finding a good record store is a gift. I've spent many hours over many years in records stores, and some you go to just for the quantity or selection, but often the staff can be unbearable. Here at Watts, the owner is super mellow and knowledgable AND the prices are good with a great selection. That combo is rare.
I recently visited Novato and had the most amazing experience at a local record shop. Watts music had the best selection of vinyl records and the owner, Darin was friendly and helpful in so many ways. The used vinyl was reasonably priced, and I was very satisfied.
It seems small at first, but the closer you look, the more there is to see. New & used, CDs, cassettes and vinyl. I found more when I stopped searching for specific things and started looking at what was in front of me. There's a lot of history here. Good prices.
Without a doubt, my favorite Record Store to visit. The prices are great and the selection is amazing. There is a heavy rotation of used records coming in all the time. New vinyl as a New vinyl is abundant. Always amazing customer service. I look forward to coming in every time!
