What customers say
The greatest of the Seattle underground record stores! Far-flung, left field, experimental, electronic, metal, world, jazz, psych, industrial, noise, folk, indie rock, modern composers, krautrock, hip-hop... if it's off the beaten path Wall of Sound has it!
I used to have two favourite record shops in the States. Rebel Rebel in New York which is sadly no more and Wall of Sound in Seattle. I have been coming over ,irregularly, from the UK to their emporium of records for some 15 years plus.
Been shopping with these folks since I moved here 14 years ago, and am always surprised by how intuitively knowledgeable they are. I once asked Michael for something unique, mentioning I was into some pretty nuanced IDM tracks from Nicolas Jaar but had been otherwise listening to a lot of African Fuzz from the 70s.
This might be Seattle's most unusual record store. It's small, but has a really interesting selection, including a ton of stuff you'll never see anywhere else. Not the place to go for your Fleetwood Mac reissues, perhaps, but if you want the rare and obscure, it might be here.
