Underground Sounds

My favorite Ann Arbor record store by far!! Matt is a great guy and will always try to get me what I want. The prices are super fair especially for being a retail space in downtown Ann Arbor. Always a great atmosphere and a great place to spend some money.

Excellent selection of vinyl, all reasonably priced, especially compared to other record stores in SE Michigan. Records always come with dust covers, which I find to be a nice touch. The staff are very helpful and will order anything for you that isn't available off the shelf.

Underground Sounds is a gem. I wanted to shop locally for records but then I found myself coming back here specifically for the atmosphere and the staff. I could easily spend hours here chatting about music as the owner is quite knowledgeable about a range of music.

Good for new records, not for used. The shop was nicely laid out, new record bins were well-organized and labeled, prices were good, and the staff member was friendly and efficient. The used section was one of the worst I've ever seen at a record store.
