The Next Record Store

The Next Record Store on Mendocino Ave recently acquired its name after a long run as The Last Record Store. With new management, the store has not changed too much. Still a great place to buy new and used vinyl and Cd's. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I purchased two Cd's at a great price today.

This was my first time in this location. Went to the Victims Family record release and listening party. Browsed through the used vinyl section and I instantly flashed back in time. Flipping through the different album covers and looking for that "new" band I never heard of. Ahhhh the good old days. Lol

Shopping online will never replace the feeling and unlooked-for surprises of browsing through a record store. This is one of the few places of any type that hits my Gen X nostalgia button in a good way. All generations and genres are well represented and it just feels good to be there.

Next record store is your only store for miles around, but does a good job of keeping the vibe going. I wish they closed later since many times they rush you and also should have a turntable or two for listening
