Sullivan's Records

Love this shop! Have been stopping in Sullivan’s when I come to Charleston for many years now. The new location is close to some nice restaurants and a little park in a very cool little restored part of town. The owner has always been very fun to talk to and gets as excited about records as I do.

Sam has created an amazing record store that has a vast selection and, honestly, a really great vibe. Well-organized and clean, Sullivan’s has the old school feel of a record store when record stores were the ONLY place to get music, without the snobbery you’d meet in modern independent record stores in the country.

Clean but small store packed with a LOT of vinyl records. I don't know how long it's been open, but it looks like some more time is needed for inventory sorting. There is a lot to look at that's sorted and organized, but there is a ton more in boxes and crates that just seems kinda random. It's a cool shop though.

We love stopping in Sullivan's Records every time we travel to Charleston. We are avid vintage vinyl hunters and always find true gems there. Sam and the other employees are very knowledgable and easy to talk with about things we are looking for, what they have in stock, and what they may be able to acquire.
