Fantastic record store in Troy, NY! Sound House Records a variety of records from brand new / recent releases to used classic and hidden local gems. Very clean, very organized, and prices are great. It is the perfect complement to the River Street Beat Shop which is also just a short walk away.
The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions you may have. The selection is fantastic, with high-quality records and many hard-to-find gems. The store itself is clean and has a great vibe.
This place is a bit of a gem. I asked about some krautrock albums, and the attendant not only knew what I was speaking of, and found an album I wanted, but also made a recommendation on my inquiry that has become a new regular listen on our player.
Exploring the capital region a bit yesterday as I’m moving to the area and I was able to check out this store - was really organized, clean, had a solid selection, and great vibes. Will definitely be back!
