Further up the road from popular Vigilante is a part of Hyattsville. Across from King Park, a spacious playground and park for all to run around in, is a small record shop worth visiting. Records of all kinds are organized well ranging from all kinds of prices from $5 to $25 and more.
Red Onion is situated in the best possible spot in Hyattsville. Because it's not directly in one of the main commercial spots, it FEELS like a neighborhood record store. Many of the customers are regulars, and the owner knows most of them because he's also a neighbor.
Red Onion Records is my local go to spot for vinyl. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Red Onion has a broad spectrum of musical genres at fair prices! The store is well setup, unpretentious, and has a chill vibe to spend time browsing through their vinyl collection.
Wonderful record shop in a retro building. I love the relaxed vibes in here, and the girl in the shop was very nice. Interesting selection...a bit on the higher priced side for some things, but I did find some deals. Had some cool stuff I've never seen before. Must check out this gem!
