Definitely One of my favorite record shops in the U-district! Super community based! They host open mic nights, and lots of cool events! The owner will always try to special order a record when I’m looking for something super specific! Lots of great records of all kinds.
I had gotten several prints framed by the old owners of Innervisions and was surprised to find the shop under new ownership (Pacific Art Gallery and Framing) when I brought in this print for custom framing.
I love Seattle Records. It’s off the beat and path on the ave and Ken, the owner is really down to earth. Great selection of hip hop and reissues. I like the record store days selection of vinyl as well as Ennio Moricone soundtrack selection. I can usually find a Sade rerelease a some vintage cassettes.
This place is nothing short of amazing! It’s a cozy, intimate record store situated at the top of the Ave, just across the street from Shiga’s Garden and right next to Persepolis Persian restaurant. Seattle Records has been open for business for about 4 years now.
