We were strolling down College Avenue looking in the windows of different shops. We felt invited into Open Mind Music with it's colorful rainbow rug, and Dutch door open at the top. There were large paintings and posters thoughtfully placed on the walls.
I was looking for a record store with some Indie/Folk music and came across this place! It has an awesome selection of vinyls - I even saw some artists I haven't listened to since I was a kid! The owners Henry and Monica are super sweet people and very knowledgeable.
I write this after a string of reviews in Japan mostly about food. During my time there I experienced shopping for records in Japan at their many shops. I can comfortably say that their record shops are the best I've ever been to and the only place in the US that truly matches that same record shop enjoyment is Open…
