Melodies & Memories has been here almost as long as I've been alive. My father used to spend hours picking through vinyl, tapes, and cds here. It was great to return home after all these years and find it still in business. This is a *massive* music store, with constantly rotating stock.
Definitively, the best record shop in all of Michigan. Amazing vibe, huge store, fair prices. Owner is down to earth and knowledgeable. Wish they had more vintage industrial and goth rock albums, but the rest of the sprawling selection makes up for it.
Okay, I stumbled upon this store just walking down the street. This place has been here for 33 years and it has a ton of history. Tons of vinyl records, tons old lunch boxs. I personally loved the signed vinyl records, that was really cool.
Huge selection of vinyl (including 45s), CDs, casettes, 8 tracks, posters, T-shirts, DVDs, etc. Worth stopping even if you just want to gaze in awe at the collection of autographed records.
