McKay's Winston-Salem

McKay’s in Winston-Salem was a great experience. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. It was quite busy. The arrangement of the rows of books makes you feel as if you’re in a library. All the books are neatly stacked with clear labels to guide you to the respective aisles.

Michigan has nothing like this store, as far as I know. You can sell your items instantly here. You can buy gently used electronics, laptops, phones, computer components, TVs, sound systems, musical equipment, books, records and so much more! I could spend the whole day there just picking!

Well I love coming and selling items at this place. But as of today October 30th 2025. Im sure but it's been an ongoing thing for the past 15 years or more. Also some of the employees have been here over 15 years, they don't look happy, the newer crew they are nicer than the old crew from the old building off…

I went to this store for the first time on new Year's Day. I had been wanting to go for a very long time. I loved it, I was with a big friend group, and we had a blast. I also was able to trade in some items for a store credit. They take so much more than books. Next time I'm taking a large load of toys.
