I was in the SE Wisconsin area and had some time to kill before going to a friend's place, so I picked up my sister and went to some local comic shops. This was one of our stops. I was impressed with their variety and stock. They knew what they were doing with prices as well, as they were competitively priced.
I have driven to Kowabunga 3-4 times from Milwaukee and enjoyed every visit. Eager and friendly service. An open and inviting space, reading for browsing. And a wide variety of comics, with surprises — like a broad selection of old Heavy Metal magazines. It may be the best comic shop I've visited so far in Wisconsin.
Excellent local comic book shop that also teaches you how to play card games like Pokémon. I've come here at random times the past couple of years and the staff has always been inviting and helpful. The selection of new and back issues are amazing! This is a great place- I highly recommend it!
