Josey's records is genuinely and sincerely one of the most personable and kind record stores in Kansas City. Every single time I've been, the staff has been nothing but friendly towards me and have always struck up conversation while checking out.
They always have great vinyl! Bought some Motorhead last time. Grabbed Heart for one of the kids that was with us. Also, one of the employees on our last visit played "Rainbow Connection". Kermit the frog from the Muppet Movie and i busted out into song. Didn't miss a word and it was definitely entertaining.
Great selection! Found a record I was looking for in their excellent used record basement for three bucks, and a gently used copy of a favourite album I didn't expect to see. Also a really solid selection of jazz on top of the rock records I expected. We'll definitely be back!
