I could literally be in here for hours. Listening to the tunes while looking through some of the older books. Or getting more vinyl of old stuff that I've been looking for. The place is a massive treasure box to me. Last I was there...I walked away with 10 CD's...I was there for about 2-3 hours...
They had this great 70's "Quack" doctor brain wave machine that the owner said belonged to Carly Simon. Then he played us her reggae track that she wrote about all her alternative therapies. I'd never heard it before and it was fun. His sound system was really good too, so it was a great way to first hear a tune.
I was in this week with 12 teenagers. I was very up tight (think 12 bulls in a China shop) but the kids were so excited to see a real, vintage record shop. The staff was awesome, very accommodating. Helped the kids and myself find items of interest. Everyone left happy. I got a System of a Down CD.
