Iris Records JC

Iris is my go to local record store and it’s my favorite. If you ask me about record shopping in North Jersey, the first place I’m recommending is Iris. I’m a long time customer and it’s a beautiful shop. It’s very organized and I always leave there with some good finds.

i love this spot! and i will find them where ever they may be.. the old spot across the street was a bit more spacious and i miss the infamous entrance but with such an awesome store inventory, i am not mad at its new intimate space! the prices are reasonable and whoever stocks the bins knows what he/she/they has!

So I was in this shop for the first time earlier today. A pleasant surprise! I was impressed by the simplicity of the store but also how methodically organized the owner has his stock. You either go alphabetically or by genre. This place is by genre/style and that’s a plus if you're in a rush.

Nice little shop with good amount of used records. Didn’t meet my preferences of Jazz, Soul, Brazilian gems, but it’s nice to have listening station to try records that you don’t normally look for but catch your eyes. There’s a good encounter. No bag is offered after purchase, but it may be because I bought only one.
