What a great little gem in the heart of Idyllwild! I got a chance to meet the shop’s friendly owner, Mike, who’s assembled a great selection of quality vinyl (everything from 50s jazz and classic rock to new wave and contemporary indie), books, CDs, apparel, gifts, and accessories.
Great record store! Reasonable prices, awesome selection of rock, jazz, RnB, hip hop, and my favorite, new wave! Bought four things, will be back for more. Best record store in Idlewild by far. Highly recommend!
I went to Hunky Dory this weekend and I was amazed by the selection this store carried. Very organized and easy to navigate, amazing boxes organized by genres but also by Budget Vinyls, Half Price and New Arrivals. The boxes weren’t too full so it was easy to check records.
Awesome spot tucked in the back!! Good tunes playing, cool and nice owner. Classic record store vibes, and a thoughtfully curated selection of well priced used goods. Records, books on music, rad stickers, etc etc. Snagged a helmet sticker, punk rock photo book, dvd. Love it. If you love music , go.
