I had the pleasure of working with James from Human Head Records while cleaning out my mother’s home in preparation for its sale. It’s been a challenging time for our family following the unexpected and tragic passing of my father, and sorting through decades of belongings has been emotionally overwhelming.
More than just a record store this is a community! For reasons I don’t want to go into here, I just want to say that Travis really helped my family and my son’s friends out in the best way possible allowing us to remember Luke in one of his favorite places.
Cool, rich in Rock, Latin, Brazil, Soul Nice narrow shop with tons of vinyl records. The selection is geared towards more or less everything but classical music with a light bias towards Latin, Soul, Rock. The shop cultivates an eclectic cool atmosphere with a few human transparent heads ornaments.
Excellent store all around! Rare gems can be found every time you go! New arrivals bin is always filled with great priced stuff and their artist-specific jazz bins showcase hard to find titles not easily seen! If you only have time to go to 1 shop in NYC, this should be your stop!
