Hausfrau Record Shop

Very interesting and varied selection. It's not a huge shop so you might not find the exact record you're looking for, but I'd be surprised if you didn't find at least a few albums that you like. I picked up used copies of records by Animal Collective, Boards of Canada, and the Talking Heads for great prices!

I finally came back after 7 years.. In 2016, I used to buy a lot of new vinyl records here.. The guy behind the register is very knowledgeable about hip hop and punk rock.. Though I didn't find any used records that I wanted, I still managed to find a new 1994 copy of Pete Rock & CL Smooth 2nd album..

I really liked this place. Although small, the selection was still quite diverse. I appreciated not only how well it was organized, but the how. Hausfrau takes the alphabeta approach, which bypasses the whole genre/misplaced artist debacle. No genre sections, no problem.

I went into this tiny record shop for the first time today with a strict budget of no more than three albums, and started flipping through what they had, in alphabetical order. I didn't make it all the way through "D" before I had to cut myself off.
