Half Moon Records

I have been frequenting Half Moon Records for the past 5 years. Bob and Pete are very honest buyers and would recommend to anyone looking to downsize their collection. The vinyl is clean and well organized. The genres deep and have a surprisingly wide selection.

Pleasantly surprised by this gem tucked away in Cold Spring. I usually go to Hudson Valley Vinyl and was told of Half Moon Records. It was busy so I didn’t get to see everything. But I picked up a nice original pressing of Jolene. I plan on going back during a week day.

Let me state that I’ve been a loyal customer since they opened in 2015 and finally writing a review. My family truly loves having a local record shop with the best selection in the Hudson Valley right on our Main St. The store still feels like a hidden gem as it is not well known as Darkside or other nearby shops.

Very well organized and a decent selection. Price is on the higher side, which you would expect in a touristy town, but not outrageous. The owner seemed knowledgeable and approachable. They pull out bins underneath their main inventory or some of the best I’ve seen.
