Free The Funk Records

This is one neat lil shop! Huge selection of funk, soul and disco as well as more 12” singles and EPs than I could possibly look at in one trip. Had a very nice chat with the owner as well, you certainly can tell the pride he takes in his work.

This place is a gem! Little hidden treasure in the heart of Tacoma. The shop was very clean and trendy. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his shop. He was very fun to chat with too, felt like chatting with an old friend.

Such a cool shop in Old Town! All kinds of records for any musical taste. Obscure and more well known. And, if they don’t have it in stock, it can be ordered! Very cool vibe here. There's also fun vintage clothes and accessories, CDs, video games, band t-shirts and other cool stuff to shop. Check it out!

Really cool little record shop! The special attention they have given to funk/soul music is a differentiator for them as is the wide selection of 12” DJ singles. And the owner was super helpful and fun to talk to. Will check them out again for sure the next time we get to Tacoma!
