Stumbled across this hidden gem while exploring Downtown Hickory. Tucked away in the Shoppes on the Square building, this shop has an amazing selection you wouldn't believe! My friends and I love to make a day of it and come and flip through Brent's AWESOME. selection! The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming TO ALL!
I have visited quite a few record stores, but Far Out Records goes above and beyond. Brent is always willing to help search for that hidden gem we are searching for. No other record store I have shopped at has this level of customer service. I will continue for years to come to return to Far Out Records!!
A nice hidden gem in the mid of hickory downtown. The place to heal your soul with tunes!
Some record stores try to be museums. You walk in and suddenly every scratched Fleetwood Mac record costs $28 because it’s “vintage.” The owner stands behind the counter like a vinyl sommelier judging your taste. Exhausting. Far Out Records is the opposite, and thank God for that. Most of the bins are a dollar.
