What customers say
Last summer, we took a family vacation to Gulf Shores. While the family hung out at the beach, I opted to take a day to venture out on my own to find some local record shops. After a Google search, I settled on Dr. Music in Fairhope.
Really nice record store near Gulf Shores! Mostly new vinyl in the $25-$35 range, but also has some VG-Ex quality used vinyl in the $10-$20 range, all well marked as to quality. They also have a bargain bin of cheaper vinyl. A great selection of new and old bands too! The owner was super friendly.
So after MANY years of purchasing CDs, downloading, streaming and purchased a few used albums, I was given a gift certificate to Dr. Music. Went to see what kind of art they had. Really only albums and some clothing. Chatted for a while with the sales clerk who was great. Purchased two new albums and holy....
Considering record shops, this place is a pretty sweet find. You can get new releases and used albums, and we noticed a few that seem hard to find in the online community. Pricing was more than fair and staff seem to actually appreciate music on their own so they were very knowledgeable.
