What customers say

Legendary record store. Love everything about this spot. No better place to shop for your jazz. Great selection of both new and original pressings from the common to the incredibly rare. The founder and original owner, Bob, unfortunately just passed away recently but his son Bob Jr.

I called to see if they had a vinyl copy of Ella Fitzgerald in Berlin. The woman that initially answered said they didn't. I thanked her and moved on in my search. Later that afternoon, I get a call from the store saying that there actually was a copy available and they would hold it for me. Outstanding service!

Bob is a Chicago treasure! It’s worth going here just to chat with him. I always learn something and have found some serious gems in the bins when he gets a new collection in. I would say bring cash if possible. The register tends to confuse things.

Never done a Google review before, but have to for Bob’s. After being closed because of COVID protocols, he’s back open! The man has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things jazz n blues.
