Very cool store but they lost a star because they unfortunately (and surprisingly) have a pretty poor selection of heavy metal. This is a consistent thing over the past couple years (at least). An otherwise impressive store like this should make it a point to always stock bands catering to Gen X metal heads.
Banana Records has an eclectic selection of music in all formats, A knowledgeable, hospitable, and warm personnel, and a soothing atmosphere. There is something for everyone to be found here.
I have been shopping here for years and thought I should write a quick review. This is a wonderful store! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The inventory is unbelievable. New records are coming in all the time so there is always a great selection no matter how often you visit.
Top-notch! The vinyls are endless and well arranged by genre and artists. The layout is very spacious so you don't feel like you are hovering over people when looking thru music. They have a cool movie room full of DVDs from classic movies to present.
