The owner Shawn (or Sean?) took my 14 year old right in like a family Member and explained the store and the prices and the collections. I felt like I was back in Greenville at a college record store! (25 years ago) This place has style.
Super chill friendly staff. Wall to wall records packed in a small place without feeling confined. What I enjoyed most was the nostalgic feeling of an old record shop, back when you could spend hours browsing and reading the back of album covers without being pressured.
I know metal and punk rock is not for everyone, but it really should be. Back Around Records is absolutely a great little auditory reservoir of all shades of tunes. They're upstairs location had an amazing selection of soul, 80's new and punk, rock, and metal.
I just got a new turntable for my birthday and I wanted to add to my collection, so I stopped by this evening after work. I'm totally glad I did. It was worth the trip. They have everything from country to jazz, to hip hop and metal. I couldn't decide what to buy, so I bought 4 albums. The staff was very helpful.
