Assumption Records

Assumption Records helped solve a 40-year-old family mystery. My father is a huge Country music fan since he was a child. He had a cassette that he would play on his way to school in his home city of Amman, Jordan with no label, no artist name. Just a black cassette.

I have always been treated very well there. I am not sure why anyone wouldn't absolutely adore this place. You don't go here if you're expecting all of the new stuff in every genre. This isn't what this place is about. This is the place where you find that hard to find album you've been searching for.

Google maps had a odd location listed for the store though the street was correct. The store is in an old repurposed church. It is a decent sized record store with a large backstock and a HUGE online inventory that is different from what is available in store.

Ok, first off I want to say I was skeptical of going here cause it's a little off the beaten path. But I am glad I did. They have a great selection of hair bands and heavy metal albums all being vintage mixed in with a large selection of new.
