Assumption Records

Assumption Records helped solve a 40-year-old family mystery. My father is a huge Country music fan since he was a child. He had a cassette that he would play on his way to school in his home city of Amman, Jordan with no label, no artist name. Just a black cassette.

Google maps had a odd location listed for the store though the street was correct. The store is in an old repurposed church. It is a decent sized record store with a large backstock and a HUGE online inventory that is different from what is available in store.

Ok, first off I want to say I was skeptical of going here cause it's a little off the beaten path. But I am glad I did. They have a great selection of hair bands and heavy metal albums all being vintage mixed in with a large selection of new.

Stopped here on a road trip and was blown away by this local shop’s selection and prices. The staff are very friendly and you are bound to find something you like. They predominantly have vinyl, but also have CDs, some cassette tapes, and more. Street parking is available, as the store is in a neighborhood.
