Stepping into 'The Amazing Alonzo' is akin to embarking on an enchanting literary adventure right in the heart of Duluth, MN. The owner, a dear friend since childhood, embodies the essence of a true bibliophile, radiating kindness and wisdom.
This is by far the best second hand book store in Duluth and the surrounding area. While it is a bit small, I've never gone in there without finding something unexpected and the owner is the nicest person you could hope to meet without being pushy.
Really nice bookstore - good selection and reasonable pricing, clean and well-lit to make browsing easy. It’s a relatively small store (there are several rooms, so there’s a good number of books but no single room is particularly large) but it wasn’t crowded when we were there on a Saturday morning.
GREAT selection and the gentlemen at the front (Alonzo?) was extremely nice to myself and other customers who he seemed to remember tidbits of their life which was very sweet! First time in Duluth and first time visiting this bookstore and I shall be back!
