This is a exemplary shop. We were on vacation in Oregon and came across this record store. The gentleman that owns it takes a lot of pride in his shop. We found records there we had been looking for and could not find in a few other stores in Oregon.
I have been to a lot of Vinyl shops. This is one of the best I have ever seen. It is a bit like the TARDIS when you walk in the door (much bigger on the inside) and the variety of all genres is some of the best I’ve seen.
Music lovers who collect vinyl records (and CDs) will find it very worthwhile to seek out this hidden local gem, located in the street level retail space of a residential building at 211 Harbor Street in Old Town Florence!
I visit Florence a couple times a year from Alaska and I just stumbled upon Albatross Records. At first glance I was impressed. Well organized and each album is sticker labeled on the protective sleeves. The albums are in excellent shape and the owner Alex has some AMAZING rarities.
